What Are the Consequences for Those Who Ignore God’s Warning Before Disaster Strikes? In the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot’s sons-in-law faced disaster because they regarded the warning as a joke. The prophet who ignored God’s warning was tragically killed by a lion on the road. In the time of Moses, the firstborn of every Egyptian household that did not keep the Passover died. Through these historical accounts, we learn that we must pay attention to God’s message of warning given to us in this age.
