Sweetgum Seed Pod Pen

Notes about this pen: I used the TACBLACK rollerball kit from Exotic Blanks. I baked the seed pods before casting at 175 degrees F for 60 minutes. I poured the resin when the temp reached 98 degrees F. I used Abranet sanding mesh 120 to 400 grit and up to 15000 with micro mesh sanding pads. I ended up redoing the finish because I didn't like how it turned out the first time so there is over 2 hours of sanding and finishing that didn't make it into the video. I used medium CA glue for the finish. Yes that was car wax to polish. I ran out one day and that was all I had on hand. I actually liked it so that is what I use now. Finally, I know I need to be more aware of the camera placement. It seems after I hit record I focus on the project and forget where I placed the camera. #sweetgumseedpods #pencasting
