'Jadd' - Grandfather. Gawie Fagan is known to be one of South Africa’s most celebrated architects, together with his wife and life-long creative partner Gwen Fagan who contributed as a historical researcher and landscape planner. Gwen and Gawie were married for 70 years, and lived joyously dedicated to one another and their work until Gawie’s passing in 2020. Intended as a gift - This film features their granddaughter Alice Godfrey offering a tribute to their life and remarkable creativity. Filmed in their iconic home ‘Die Es’ where Gwen now lives alone at age 99. A film by Julian Culverhouse. Music: Sweet River by David Darling.
