Cast Netting Enough Cedar Key Shrimp for a Seafood Boil

With hurricane Isaias coming up the Gulf, the weather has not been good for taking out the boat or the kayak, so I tried cast netting in Cedar Key. I was hoping to get enough big mullet to smoke, but ended up opting to bounce around a few spots and target shrimp. The action wasn't fast and furious, but there were enough shrimp around to make a meal for two. Nothing heartier on the plate than fresh caught shrimp, in my opinion. #catchandcook #shrimp #cedarkey #floridafishing #naturecoast #saltwaterfishing
