Odisha Textbook Row: PMO Seeks Government Response Over Serious Allegations | Latest Update The Odisha textbook controversy has taken a fresh turn with the Prime Minister’s Office intervening in the matter and seeking a response from the authorities. The intervention reportedly followed a detailed complaint by RTI activist Pradip Pradhan, who raised allegations of corruption, financial irregularities and conflict of interest in the printing and distribution of school textbooks. The complaint also alleged that a government press official had been managing textbook printing since 2022 despite the work falling under the School and Mass Education Department, and raised questions over the selection of private printing presses and suppliers. These are allegations made in the complaint and remain subject to examination by the authorities.
