In this video, I'm taking a bass DI and building it into a finished rock bass tone using a simple but seriously effective processing chain. We'll go through the chain step-by-step, including: Amp simulation — adding the character, grit and weight of a real bass amp Compression — controlling the dynamics while adding aggression and punch Preamp — adding colour and helping the bass sit exactly where it needs to in the mix Sub Low End - creating huge, controlled low-end without simply turning up the bass I'm not just focusing on which plugins I'm using, I'm showing you why each stage is there and how the stages work together. If your bass DI sounds thin, sterile, weak or just doesn't seem to have the impact you hear on records, this is a great starting point for building a much bigger rock bass sound. I'll also show you the processing in context, because a bass tone that sounds incredible on its own isn't necessarily going to work in a full rock mix. If you make rock, metal, alternative or heavier music, give this chain a try and see how much you can get out of a simple DI. ✅BECOME A MEMBER OF THIS CHANNEL FOR MORE GREAT CONTENT AND PERKS! ✅https://www.youtube.com/samlooseaudio...
