I love Dinosaurs. And I love Mascot Horror Games. And thus Terrible Lizards seems like the perfect combination! This latest Mascot Horror has been developed by WDR Studios which was founded by members of the YouTube channel JT Music. We play as a man who has some car trouble on Route 66. We seek shelter in a dinosaur fossil exhibition. But soon we start seeing strange creatures roaming around and we find out that some of the dinosaurs are actually hunting us as we head deeper underground and discover various secrets. I think that the first hour of this game is absolutely amazing. The dinosaur museum is so beautiful, detailed and varied with so many things to see and discover. You can actually read all the signs about the dinosaurs or listen to the information broadcasts spread throughout the zones. Terrible Lizards mixes up the familiar mascot horror gameplay by focusing on parkour. You will jump, climb, swing and wallrun many times and will have chase sequences that are way more spectacular and adrenaline filled than others in the same genre. The controls for the parkour are smooth and tight with great animations. There were a few moments were it could have been tweaked to be more precise as I clipped through some terrain more than once, but in general it is very good and well implemented. The voice acting is also really good from all members and there are also plenty of YouTuber cameos in here. Now I did run into a game breaking bug twice while playing and also witnessed weird glitches like dinosaurs being stuck in the terrain. Therefore it needs some updates to polish it and hopefully it will be a smoother experience in the future. If I had some critique of the game its that after the first hour the game basically takes place in a cave all the way to the end. The environment simply gets repetitive at a certain point and its such a huge contrast with the dinosaur museum that just oozes atmosphere, detail and variety. Once you are in the cave you kinda just go from industrial workzone to industrial workzone to military workzone etc. The dinsoaurs, story and setting are all fantastic and this has such huge potential to become great and I hope that in the sequel the talented developers will deliver an experience where all the environments are up to par with the first hour of this game. #terriblelizards #dinosaurs #jtmusic #mascothorror #dinosaur #jurassic #horrorgame #indiegame
