We started our journey from Erlangen and reached Nuremberg around 10:00 AM to make the most of our day. There is so much to see here that we highly suggest exploring the city over a few days instead of trying to rush it all into just one day! We began our walking tour of the beautiful Old City at the historic Women's Gate (Frauentor), stepped into the charming Craftsmen’s Courtyard (Handwerkerhof), and visited the stunning St. Lorenz Church. From there, we wandered down the picturesque Tanners' Lane (Weißgerbergasse), explored the incredible Imperial Castle (Kaiserburg), and took some time to explore the local food scene along the way. Afterward, we headed over to see the famous Nuremberg Trials Memorial courthouse museum, but unfortunately, it was closed when we arrived. On the previous day, we had already explored the Nazi Documentation Center and the Zeppelin Grandstand grounds. Nuremberg has so much to offer, from deep history to incredible charm, and it is a must-visit city if you are planning a trip to Germany.
