61306 & 44871 - Double Headed Steam Up Sapperton Bank (2019)

Not since April 2011, has Sapperton Bank played host to a double headed steam run through the Golden Valley and on the first day in August 2019, we were there to witness two of the finest class five locos from the LNER & LMS which were in the form of 61306 'Mayflower' and Black Five '44871' The dynamic duo are seen from three angles as they tackle the steep twisting gradient to Sapperton Tunnel with an equivalent load of 15/16 coaches on the return leg of a Steam Dreams tour to Cardiff !
