Humpback Sportsman Knives Update, Böker / Remington Trail Hand, Bandit

Today we take a look at some humpbacks I have recently added to the collection. First I have finally figured out what is on the shield of the first one I show. It depicts the Bergische Löwe or the Lion of Berg. The region where Solingen is located is known as Bergisch. or from Berg. the Bergishe Löwe is an Historical heraldic animal of the former Duchy of Berg. I came to this conclusion because it fits the description perfectly to the tough sticking out, to the split tail, down to the positioning of the paws and feet. the Bergische Löwe is historically important to Solingen as well as Remscheid. you can read more about it here: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bergisc... Next I show a very cool Böker Sportmesser that is a wooden covered shadow pattern. It also features a brass tree shield. It is pre WW2, More I unfortunately do not know. I also show the Delstone Soligen Humpback that I have in my collection. It is by far the finest pocket knife on the table and I wish I knew more about it. If you have information on Delstone, please let me know. Then I show a couple Remington's I have recently picked up. The First is a Remington Trail Hand from 1996. This one is new old stock and is in new, unused condition. It is really interesting to finally get A Remington Trail Hand and see the differences in construction compared to that of the Böker Examples. The last 6 bladed Humpback I show is a Remington Bandit 6 blade Camp knife. this is a rare one as I have only seen a couple of these before. Its another shadow knife in black synthetic covers with a very 90's looking ''Bandit'' logo on the mark side. It is cool to see how Remington used two different awls on these two models.
