YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s recent meeting with CPI leaders at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli has drawn attention to the latest political developments in Andhra Pradesh. The meeting took place on September 24, 2026, when a senior CPI delegation met the YSRCP president and invited the party to participate in a round-table conference on the drought situation scheduled to be held in Vijayawada on September 26. The CPI delegation was led by State Secretary G. Eswaraiah and National Executive Member K. Ramakrishna. CPI leaders Akkineni Vanaja and P. Harinath Reddy were also part of the delegation. YSRCP State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy was present during the meeting. According to CPI leaders, the discussions covered several public issues, including the drought situation, electoral-roll concerns and the controversy surrounding the District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment process. After the meeting, G. Eswaraiah said that Jagan had responded positively to the CPI’s invitation to participate in public struggles on issues concerning the people. The CPI, along with farmers’ organisations, is raising concerns over the drought situation and has called for relief measures for affected farmers. One of the major points raised by the CPI concerns the extent of cultivation in Andhra Pradesh. Eswaraiah claimed that while the government has stated that cultivation took place across more than 65 lakh acres, the CPI estimates actual cultivation at around 50 lakh acres. The CPI has called for the drought situation to be treated as a national calamity and has demanded relief for farmers. These cultivation figures are claims made by the respective sides and should be viewed in that context. The CPI also sought Jagan’s support on electoral-roll issues, particularly concerns over the deletion of voter names belonging to people who have migrated for employment. Another issue discussed was the DSC recruitment controversy. Eswaraiah said the CPI was raising questions over alleged irregularities and also supported the opposition’s demand for a CBI inquiry. The CPI has also invited Congress leaders to the September 26 Vijayawada round-table conference. According to reports, CPI and Congress representatives discussed coordinated action on issues including agricultural distress and electoral-roll concerns. The latest developments have led to discussion about whether opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh could coordinate more closely on public issues. However, the meeting and the invitation to the round-table conference do not by themselves establish a formal political alliance between the YSRCP, CPI and Congress. The immediate stated focus of the CPI is the drought situation, farmers’ concerns, electoral rolls and the DSC issue. The September 26 Vijayawada round-table is therefore being watched closely for the participation of different opposition groups and the issues they raise. Watch this video for a detailed look at the Jagan–CPI meeting, the drought debate, electoral-roll concerns, the DSC controversy and the latest political developments involving YSRCP, CPI and Congress in Andhra Pradesh. #YSJagan #YSRCP #CPI #Congress #APPolitics #JaganFakePolitics #CPIAP #CongressPolitics #Tadepalli #SajjalaRamakrishnaReddy #TDP #DVSrinivas #Chandrababu #PawanKalyan #NDA #thinkandhra For More Updates Follow Us On : Facebook :   / thinkandhraofficial   Twitter : https://x.com/think_andhra Instagram :   / thinkandhra   WhatsApp : https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vazn...
