European Trip 2023 Day 3

Late My 2023 saw the start of a 3 week trip with 17 days in Europe, I was heading to the BRP Grossglockner Challenge in Austria for Can-Am trikes on Can-Am's 50th anniversary. Then to Switzerland where I would be based in Meiringen for several days before heading back through France, Belgium and Holland. I didn't do any videoing on Days 1 & 2 as they were just travelling from Dundee to Ashford near Folkstone using mainly motorways. Day 3 started early to catch an early shuttle to give a nice early arrival in France. From Calais it was onto the motorway and Peage to get in the milage at the start of the day before heading on more minor roads, first to Montcoronet for a lunch break before heading towards Metz. Mostly flat straight roads with only towns breaking them up and giving something to look at. I hadn't originally planned it but the route went through the center of Verdun (sat nav deciding it knew better) lots of memorials of the battle on route, wish I could have stopped but not enough time. Ended up at Metz where my hotel was on the other side of the city so I ended up driving through the center to get there, lots of narrow streets like a maze at times.
