We all need people in our lives who encourage us, challenge us, and help us grow. But how do we recognize a healthy community, and what happens when the relationships we're part of aren't helping us become who God created us to be?
In this episode of *Christ Centered Stewardship*, Nino Villa and Maria Casillas explore the importance of community in our spiritual and personal growth.
They discuss the difference between healthy disagreement and toxic behavior, the challenges of building meaningful relationships online, and why genuine conversation often requires more than exchanging opinions or advice.
Maria shares how finding a supportive homeschooling community helped her navigate a calling she initially resisted. Nino reflects on the relationships that have shaped his life and the importance of recognizing who is investing in us, who we're investing in, and who is walking alongside us.
The conversation also explores the more difficult side of relationships. Through personal experiences involving family, emotional triggers, and healthy boundaries, Nino and Maria discuss why being part of a community doesn't remove our responsibility for how we communicate and respond to others.
God didn't create us to live in isolation. Healthy community offers opportunities to learn together, support one another, and grow in faith, even when we don't always see things the same way.
*CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK*
Choose an area of your life where you want to grow, and reflect on three questions: Who is pouring into you? Who are you pouring into? And who are you learning alongside?
