Left Behind: Offerings to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall [HD]

Since its dedication in 1982, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial has been a place of reflection, remembrance, healing and for some - profound sorrow. In the years that followed, visitors have left offerings at The Wall to remember their fallen loved ones and comrades. But what you may not know, is that those objects are collected every night by National Park Service rangers and go to a warehouse in Hyattsville, Maryland to be stored, cataloged, and preserved. The warehouse and collection are closed to the public. Of the many examples of heroism, sacrifice, loss, and healing we were shown - a few stood out.
