Give thanks to Yahweh with the lyre, Let the harp of ten strings awaken His praise. Sing to Him a new song arising, Play with skill, let the sound be pure— Lift your voice with a shout of joy, For He alone is worthy forevermore. 🎶 [The Source of Our Joy] You are the Source of our joy, O Yah, The light that no darkness can overcome. Our hearts rejoice in Your holy name, In You, our victory is won. You are the Source of our joy, O Yah, Our hope through every storm and trial— We trust in Your unfailing love, And rest beneath Your smile. 🌿 [His Word Stands Forever (vv. 4–5)] For the word of Yahweh is upright and true, All His work is done in faithfulness. He gathers the waters into storehouses, And commands the deep with sovereign voice. Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, The people He has chosen as His own— A treasured inheritance before Him, Called and known. 👁️ [The Watchful Eye (vv. 13–15)] From heaven Yahweh looks upon the sons of men, He sees every heart He has formed. He understands all their works, Nothing is hidden before His throne. ⚔️ [Not by Strength (vv. 16–19)] No king is saved by a mighty army, No warrior delivered by great strength. A horse is a false hope for victory, Its power cannot save. But behold—the eye of Yahweh is on those who fear Him, On those who wait for His loving-kindness— To deliver their soul from death, And keep them alive in famine. 🎶 You are the Source of our joy, O Yah… Our help and our shield… 🌿 [Our Heart Waits (vv. 20–21)] Our soul waits for Yahweh, He is our help and our shield.
