1967 would be the first year for the long-running Chevrolet Camaro. Introduced as a competitor to the top-selling Ford Mustang, the Camaro would sell over 220,000 units in the first year alone. Out of these, only 602 were of the Z/28 variety. This package featured a 302 cubic inch V8 making 290 horsepower. More importantly, it qualified for the highly popular SCCA Trans-Am Racing Series. Also included in this package were power front disc brakes, upgraded suspension, and a four-speed close-ratio Muncie manual transmission.  In this video, AMCM's Mark Pieloch talks about the importance of the new Camaro and the history of our Deep Water Blue Z/28.
