Draupadi's Sankalpa

Draupadi’s sankalpa Draupadi’s sankalpa is not mere personal revenge. It represents an unyielding demand for justice against the violation of a woman’s dignity, the fire of righteous anger that fuels the entire war and a powerful reminder that some wrongs cannot be forgiven until balance is restored. It remains one of the most emotionally charged and iconic elements in the popular memory of the Mahabharata. It was a great experience to present this episode from the Mahabharata as a classical dance drama (Nritya Roopak) on stage during the Golden Jubilee celebration of Janakpuri Kannada Koota at Delhi Karnataka Sangha. Choreography: Mrs. Savita Nelly Presented by - Members of Janakpuri mahila Mandali
