Clyde McGee - Red Rocking Chair

As much as I love heading into beautiful places to capture recordings with musicians, this project is meant as an archive of incredible storytellers, and sometimes that means grabbing ten minutes backstage before a show. Clyde and I have known each other for years, but hadn't had the opportunity to cross paths in many many moons. A thoroughly delightful human and a masterful storyteller to boot, his rendition of Doc Watson's Red Rocking Chair is such a wonderful addition to the archive, and to have had the opportunity to kick it with him after so many years filled my heart with joy. As he said himself during our hangout, "perfection is the enemy of good enough." and that is something I shall be applying more to my life and this project in general.
