Episode 162 Namaste, I am Pooja and Welcome to a काकडीचे वडे व खीर | Cucumber Special | Village Cooking | Red Soil Stories ‪@RedSoilStories‬ At the beginning of the monsoon season, cucumber cultivation is a major part of farming in our village. This year, we were blessed with a record harvest of cucumbers. On a beautiful morning, I visited our farm to collect some fresh cucumbers. The crop had grown abundantly, with both green and white varieties flourishing across the fields. After harvesting plenty of cucumbers, I brought them home, washed them thoroughly, and prepared a refreshing traditional salad using cucumber and Mesh Melon (Chibud). I also made a healthy Cucumber Detox Water to beat the monsoon humidity. One of my favorite treats was a fresh cucumber boat chaat, which turned out to be incredibly refreshing and delicious. The next day, I used some of the cucumbers to make a traditional Cucumber Kheer, which was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. On another day, I prepared crispy Cucumber Vade, a beloved traditional recipe. My mother especially enjoyed the cucumber vade and couldn't stop praising their taste.
