Our strange 16-bit journey through Dylan and Jesse’s past continues as we finally learn more about how the FBC came to their town and what happened to the two siblings. As we work through the retro version of the game, the pieces of Dylan and Jesse’s childhood begin coming together, eventually revealing what led Jesse and Dylan to run away and setting up the events that would shape both of their lives. Eventually we’re pulled back into reality and return to the normal game, still inside The Unknown. With the latest events behind us, the path toward the final boss is finally unlocked. Before heading toward the endgame, however, we have one last bit of preparation to take care of. The final balloon for Pope’s side mission is now available, and completing it rewards us with a Resonant Token that allows us to fully load out our build. With our final preparations complete, we travel to the Red Sand fast travel point and make our way toward the door leading to the big fight.
