About this video: MBTA’s North Side work train crew moved nine out-of-service passenger coaches from Allston to Somerville, MA on April 15, 2026. These coaches were either being temporarily stored to make room for other equipment at the Commuter Rail Maintenance Facility, or already retired from passenger service and being held until their futures were determined. The “hospital train” move is seen in this video passing the crossings on Pacific Street, Main Street, Binney Street, and Cambridge Street in Cambridge, MA.
