CHAKRATA | I Stayed At An Incredible OFFBEAT MOUNTAIN HOME

Tired of the usual hill stations? This time, I headed to Chakrata. Tucked away in the mountains of Uttarakhand, Chakrata still feels refreshingly different from the more commercialised hill stations. Over a few days, I explored its nooks and corners, got to know the Jaunsar culture and food, Tiger Falls, and spent some time at Harul, a beautiful mountain home surrounded by incredible views. But some of my favourite moments came completely unplanned, including a walk with a local to a quiet river spot that I’m deliberately not naming or sharing its location. Because sometimes the best places aren't the ones you find on a list.
