She has more than 30 years of physiotherapy experience. Her clinical work has a strong focus on neurological rehabilitation, including helping people living with stroke, Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions to improve movement, function and independence. Mona is passionate about translating research and evidence into practical rehabilitation strategies that can be incorporated into everyday life. Her approach emphasizes individualized assessment, meaningful task-specific practice, repetition and collaboration with families and other members of the care team. At MapleCare Physiotherapy, Mona and her team provide neurological rehabilitation both in their clinics and through physiotherapy home visits across Ottawa.
