I Thought There Was Time – NovaPulse Studio (Official Audio)

"I Thought There Was Time" is one of the most personal songs I've written. I wrote it for my dad, who passed away four years ago. The song comes from a realization that hit me after he was gone: I always believed there would be more time. More time to stop by. More time for conversations. More time to say thank you for everything he had done for me. Like so many people, I got caught up in the pace of everyday life and assumed tomorrow would always be there. But tomorrow isn't guaranteed. Unlike "Until I Didn't," which expresses the anger and frustration that came with that realization, "I Thought There Was Time" is the quieter side of the same story. It's reflective. It's about looking back at the moments we thought we could postpone and understanding their value only after they're gone. The piano, the restrained vocal, and the unresolved feeling throughout the song all serve that message. Some losses never fully resolve. Some conversations never happen. Some gratitude remains carried in our hearts long after the opportunity to speak it has passed. Even though this song was inspired by my dad, I think many people have experienced their own version of this story. Someone they meant to call. Someone they planned to visit. Someone they thought would always be there. If you're fortunate enough to still have that opportunity, don't wait. This song is for my dad. And for anyone who ever thought there was time.
