Medinah, 11 Under in Golf+ VR — Two Eagles and a Score That Wasn't Enough

The last daily event of the week at Medinah, and my chance to pick up as many points as possible. The clubhouse leader was on 15 under and the top 10 sat at 7 under — so I needed to bring my A game. It could not have started better. A drive down the fairway and a 102-yard approach left 11ft, and I sank the eagle putt on the 1st. After a 3-putt par on the 2nd — where I drove the green and left my 57ft first putt soft — the birdies began to flow. Chips to 4ft on the 4th and 5th set up back-to-back birdies. On the 6th my 31ft eagle putt stopped 7ft short and I buried the return for birdie. A 14.7ft putt dropped on the 8th, and on the 12th, after a poor recovery from the rough, I holed a 24ft birdie putt. Then the driveable par 5 on the 14th: a 320-yard drive bounced over the green into the rough, and a chip to 5ft set up the second eagle of the day. That put me 11 under after 14 holes. But a 6ft birdie putt slid by on the 15th, and the last four holes were all pars with no real chances to chase down the leader. 📊 Final Stats • Score: 11 under (61) • Fairways Hit: 9/14 • Greens in Regulation: 14/18 • Putts: 26 📈 Strokes Gained • Off Tee: +3.40 • Approach: +1.01 • Around Green: +3.02 • Putting: +6.34 • Total: +13.78 Speaking with the media afterwards, Jack said: "That was much better. I know the course was easier, but you still need to put the ball in the hole. I'm slightly disappointed to go 11 under after 14 holes and then fail to add, but overall it was a good performance." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ GOLF+ DAILY EVENTS ➡️    • ⛳ Golf+ VR Amateur Daily Events   🏆 GOLF+ WEEKLY TOURNAMENTS ➡️    • 🏆 Golf+ VR Amateur Weekly Tournaments   🎯 GOLF+ CHALLENGES ➡️    • 🎯 Golf+ VR Challenges   🤝 GOLF+ CREATOR COLLABS ➡️    • Golf+ - Creator Collaborations   ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📸 FOLLOW JACK JUMENTO Instagram ➡️   / jackjumento   YouTube ➡️    / @jackjumento   ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🥽 MY SETUP Meta Quest 3 Golf+ VR DeadEyeVR DriVR Club Attachment 👉 https://deadeyevr.com/?ref=nwsvttoz (Disclosure: This is an affiliate link.
