Almagre Peak The Short Route (6.2 Miles)

Almagre Peak is right on the front range and can be seen just south of Pikes Peak if you are looking from Colorado Springs. We hiked her Sunday, 6 September 2026. We wanted to hit the trails but wanted a peaceful hike without the Labor Day crowds. This was it. We had the whole mountain to ourselves! If you'd like to hike the front range mountains, this is a very straightforward, low commitment, and easy/moderate hike that is just above 12,000 feet. Perfect if you are training for our 14er's.
