I Don't Want To Talk About It

Danny Whitten was a leading member of Neil Young's band Crazy Horse back in the early 70's. He wrote several songs for their 1st album Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere and was heavily involved in Young's classic album After The Goldrush until heroin and drug addiction got the better of him. Indeed , Neil Young's great song The Needle And The Damage Done was in reference to Whitten. In November 1972 Danny died from a drug overdose but he left us one of the greatest most heartfelt ballads ever written, in my opinion. Made popular by Rod Stewart and later Everything But The Girl, there are many versions out there. Thought I'd put up our version today with World Mental Health Week starting this weekend. Once again joined by Mary Haran McGlennon on harmonies, James Barry on guitar and Quentin Cooper on slide and accoustic guitar. Danny Whitten's name might be forgotten but his great song will always be remembered. I Don't Want To Talk About It. This version is available on my Bandcamp page endaharan.bandcamp.com
