Solo Camping to Green Laning | Exploring Salisbury Plain 🏕️🛞 Another little adventure in the Defender, this time heading south to explore the green lanes across Salisbury Plain! I drove down the night before and found myself a spot to camp, giving me a chance to enjoy a quiet night solo camping in the RoofSpace before waking up, packing everything away and getting ready for a completely different kind of day. The next morning I met up with Dan from Torr Overland and we headed out to explore some of the green lanes running across Salisbury Plain. 🛞 Despite its muddy reputation, at this time of year there was no mud or water in sight. The Plains were incredibly dry, with clouds of dust following us along the tracks and eventually leaving the Defender looking like it had just returned from an African adventure! 🌍😂 Instead of muddy puddles and water crossings, the challenge came from deep, hard-grooved ruts, uneven terrain and a few heavily rutted climbs and descents that gave the Defender something a little different to tackle. With huge open landscapes, dusty trails and miles of green lanes to explore, it turned into a brilliant day seeing another part of the UK away from the tarmac.
