We kick off leaving the roadworks yard in Dunstable with an awkward recovery job: winching a broken 18-tonne skip lorry (with zero gearbox) onto the neck, followed by a little VW Polo right behind it. After getting them tipped in Hereford, we head up to Oswestry to grab 27 pallets of loose square-section steel work. Things get proper mental the next morning at site: we're booked to unload with a telehandler, only to find out the driver took the only set of keys home with him all the way to Scotland!
