“No Worries,” Says UK Cop As Man Demands His Day In Court
A man is offered a recorded police warning over his conduct. He turns it down and says he wants to be charged and taken to court instead. In this video, Audit Justice UK breaks down the encounter and the questions it raises.
The officer explains that a recorded police warning is the proposed way to deal with the matter, and that it would not involve a court appearance. The man refuses. He is then formally told he is being charged with threatening or abusive behavior, and he repeatedly asks what the threat was and what the abuse was. The answer he gets in this exchange is that it will be discussed in court. We look at what was said, what was asked, and what was and was not explained on camera.
The man also makes claims about an earlier court case and predicts the outcome of this one. These are his statements, they are not confirmed in this footage, and we treat them that way. Whether the charge stands is a matter for the courts, not for us.
The footage then moves to what appears to be a separate roadside stop, where a driver asks why he was pulled over and under what power he is being asked for his license. The officer’s stated reason for the stop is also covered in this video.
Audit Justice UK examines real encounters between British police, public auditors, security staff, and ordinary citizens through the decisions and questions captured on camera. If you want more analysis like this, like the video, subscribe to the channel, and share your view in the comments.
