JEHOVAH SABAOTH: WHEN YOU FEEL OUTNUMBERED, LOOK AGAIN 📖 2 Kings 6:8–17 🎤 Rev. Dr. Favour Ibom Have you ever looked at your circumstances and felt completely outnumbered? In 2 Kings 6, Elisha’s servant woke up to discover that an enemy army had surrounded the city. Everything he could see told him they were defeated. But Elisha saw something different. He knew that the visible enemy was not the whole story. Then Elisha prayed, “O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see.” When God opened the servant’s eyes, he saw the mountain filled with horses and chariots of fire. 🔥 The enemy was real, but the enemy was not the whole story. 🔥 The battle was visible, but God’s army was already present. 🔥 When you feel surrounded and outnumbered, LOOK AGAIN! Jehovah Sabaoth is the LORD of Hosts — the sovereign Commander of heaven’s armies. He is not overwhelmed by what overwhelms you, intimidated by what intimidates you, or defeated by what comes against you. In this message, discover four powerful responses when you feel outnumbered: 👀 1. LOOK AGAIN What you can see is real, but what you can see is not all that is real. Ask God to open your eyes to His presence, promises, power, and purposes. 🛡️ 2. REMEMBER WHO’S WITH YOU “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Your confidence is not based on what you have in your hands, but on Who is with you. 🙏🏽 3. PRAY, DON’T PANIC Before reacting in fear, pray. Sometimes our greatest need is not for God to immediately change the situation, but for Him to change the way we see it. 🏆 4. STAND IN VICTORY Because of Jesus Christ, believers do not fight as people hoping somehow to obtain victory. We stand in the victory Christ has already accomplished through the cross and resurrection. Maybe you feel surrounded today. Maybe the opposition appears greater than your resources. Maybe fear is telling you that there is no way forward. Look again. Jehovah Sabaoth is with you. The LORD of Hosts is your fortress. You are not abandoned. You are not alone.
