This is unironically the rarest swing bridge I've ever filmed. Within 30 minutes there were 3 activations, one saw 4 boats but after that it died down with there being just 2 in over an hour.
The wigwags here are probably the oldest ones left, being likely 1970s GECs. A now almost extinct automatic barriers stop when lights show is also seen. The barriers are GWE MK1s operated by 200V AC and not 24V DC like usual! On side 1, the boom lights are still halogen. The wigwags are a mix of incandecent and LED bulbs.
This bridge is in Gloucestershire on The Gloucester and Sharpness Canal. Purton Lower Bridge next door uses Newgate barriers and TWM LED wigwags. There is a hut there with a swing bridge operator who manually controls the bridges via CCTV so it's not possible to know when it's going to raise when they call ahead! Sometimes you hear either bridge operating and know that the one you're at is soon to do so, if on request you can sometimes see boats approaching.
