Planting Tulips In Pots 🌷 | How To Be Successful With Your Bulb Lasagne | Bulbs Growing Series (#1) So it begins, the great planting of all Spring Bulbs! Very happy to be planting my first Tulips of the season (I have 750 bulbs to go through, that's a lot for my small garden and IT WILL FIT!!!), many more planting sessions will follow this one! Planting Tulips in containers is really easy, all you need is a bit of compost and you're ready to go! Creating layers of bulbs (aka a 'Bulb Lasagne') in a container is a great way to maximise your space and create a gorgeous show with a limited footprint. One important tip: plan for at least 5/8 cm of compost in between layers (also your top layer needs to be at the appropriate depth for the bulb - 10/15 cm for Tulips) to give enough space for the roots. Here I am using a bulb starter but that's completely optional! Don't panic, there is still time to plant your Spring bulbs, until Christmas (as they will still need a period of cold in order to flower properly).
