Are men becoming weaker—or has our definition of a strong man changed?
Tonight on The Conversation, we're getting into strength, discipline, responsibility, usefulness, fatherhood, masculinity, comfort, culture, and what separates a strong man from a good man.
I’ll share what survival has taught me about capability, character, self-control, leadership, and responsibility—but this isn’t a lecture. I want the disagreement. I want the pushback. I want the conversation.
We’ll tackle questions like:
Are modern men getting softer?
Has comfort made us less capable?
What should a man be able to provide and protect?
What role do fathers and male role models play?
Where does personal responsibility begin?
Can a man be strong without becoming dangerous?
What kind of men are we actually building?
My position: A good man is capable enough to be useful, strong enough to protect, disciplined enough to control himself, humble enough to serve, and honorable enough that his word means something.
The goal isn’t to make men harmless. The goal is to make men good.
