Rent a car - I'd advise against using the big corporate rental companies; we have a great recommendation for a locally owned company where the owner will literally drop off your car wherever you need and is super flexible in case anything changes with your trip 2. The transit from the airport to Myokokogen station seems complicated, its really not. I know theres a few ways to get there but if you follow the route we mentioned in the video & purchase your Shinkansen tickets in advance it should be a breeze. Also make sure you get the Suica app and load some money onto it if you want to pass through gates quickly :) 3. Lime Resort was a great hotel, however if you book one of the cheaper rooms (which we did), there are no showers in the room. Communal showers sounds scary but its' nothing like what we have in North America. The shower room is almost always empty, the showers are 2 individual rooms with locking doors, the shower itself has temperature adjusting controls and they provide you with phenomenal shower products and facial products in the area. It's insanely clean and has a luxury feel, don't let it scare you! 4. Check the resort websites in advance, since storms often leave resorts unable to open gondolas and chairlifts. On Day 3 we wanted to go back to Arai - we wasted about an hour driving there to realize they werent opening and reverted back to Kanko instead. It was still a great day 5. Google translate's photo feature will save you! It's a small town with some Australian english-speaking businesses but for the most part you're dining with locals, embrace it and practice your japanese, but make sure your app is available in case you need it Any more questions?
