Dallas rap war just hit the courtroom. MO3 (Melvin Noble) was gunned down in broad daylight on I-35E in Dallas on November 11, 2020. Prosecutors say rival rapper Yella Beezy (Markies Conway) put the hit out and paid Kewon White to do it. White is on trial right now. Yella Beezy is next. This is the alleged murder-for-hire case that’s been building for years. Long beef. Music. Social media. Old shootings. Now the state is trying to connect the dots in front of a jury. The shooting: MO3 was driving on the highway when a black car pulled up. Witnesses say a masked man with a rifle chased him on foot and shot him. He never made it. Prosecutors call it a planned hit. Defense says the state is filling in gaps. Who’s charged: • Kewon White — alleged shooter. On trial first (started late August 2026). Already doing federal time on a gun case tied to this. • Yella Beezy — accused of hiring the hit. Out on bond / house arrest. Capital murder. Faces life or death if convicted. • Devin Brown — also charged with capital murder, alleged to have helped coordinate. The beef & the lyrics: The two rappers had a public feud. Judge Chika Anyiam allowed some songs into evidence: MO3’s “2 Nineteen,” Yella Beezy’s “Keep It In The Streets,” and “On Ya Head” (with Trapboy Freddy). Most other tracks got blocked. Defense argues rap is art, not a confession. State says the lyrics show motive and a bounty. MO3’s mother, his manager, Yella Beezy’s girlfriend, and other witnesses have been or are expected on the stand. A jailhouse witness even claimed White bragged about the shooting and waiting to get paid. White’s trial is the first one. Whatever the jury does here sets the table for Yella Beezy’s case.
