1. Initial Setup for Chairside Treatment: Lip Protection: Apply vitamin E or Vaseline to the patient’s lips to prevent dryness. Drying the Area: Use an air/water syringe to thoroughly dry the teeth and gum area before beginning. Gum Barrier Application: Position the cheek retractor and carefully apply the gum barrier gel from one premolar to the other, ensuring complete coverage of the gums. Cure the barrier with light as you progress in sections until fully set. Cheek and Tissue Isolation: Isolate the cheeks using cotton rolls or gauze in all four quadrants. For smaller mouths, use additional gauze as needed to maintain a dry field. 2. Whitening Gel Application: Apply Gel: Dispense a thin, even layer of the 52% Hydrogen Peroxide Hybrid Gel onto each tooth from premolar to premolar. Use the end of the syringe tip or a microbrush to spread the gel evenly across the entire surface of each tooth, ensuring full coverage. 3. LED Mouth Tray Use: Insert Tray: Place the Model 3 LED mouthpiece in the mouth, ensuring proper contact with the whitening gel. Activate Light: Press and hold the power button for 1–2 seconds to activate Blue Light Mode. The device will run a 20-minute cycle and shut off automatically. 4. Whitening Cycles: After each 20-minute session, remove the gel completely using surgical suction. Do not rinse with water between sessions. Reapply a fresh layer of whitening gel before beginning the next cycle. Perform 3 full 20-minute sessions, with a 4th session optional based on desired results and patient comfort. Check for any sensitivity between each session. If the patient experiences sensitivity, discontinue treatment and skip the fouth session. 5. Post-Treatment Care: Cleanup: Remove all materials, rinse thoroughly, and apply desensitizing serum if needed. Lip Care: Moisturize the patient’s lips with a vitamin E swab. 7. Patient Discharge: Home Care Kit: Remover the top layered foam and provide the patient with the rest of the kit. The bottom layer will include LED mouthpiece used during treatment, charger, travel bag, 35% Carbamide Peroxide gel, 12% Hydrogen Peroxide pen, desensitizing gel, manual, shade guide and the QR code for further guidance. Encourage the patient to follow the post-operative instructions on the other side of this card closely for optimal results.
