Shaping a Hind Pattern

Watch as Hank Chisholm, CJF shapes a Kerckhaert Standard Max shoe to a hind pattern. Note how he uses the round horn of this blacksmith pattern anvil throughout the shaping process. The shoe has already had some traction modification built in using a Bloom Forge Creaser. This is a good option for any horse that needs additional traction behind. Hank was demonstrating a series of shoe modifications that can be used for the American Farrier's Association Certification Shoe Display.
