Bucs STUN Cowboys, Cleveland ties ALDS & Football Picks - The Counter Full Episode - October 9, 2026

WE STILL KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers entered Thursday Night Football 0–4, starting an undrafted rookie quarterback against a Dallas Cowboys team favored by 8.5 points. So naturally, Tampa Bay walked into Dallas and WON. Bucky Irving rushed for 165 yards, the Cowboys committed three turnovers, and the Buccaneers pulled off a stunning 24–16 upset. HOW 'BOUT THEM COWBOYS! Meanwhile, chaos erupted in Chicago as the Cleveland Guardians scored SIX runs in the sixth inning to beat the White Sox 9–5, forcing a winner-take-all Game 5 on Saturday. The winner advances to face the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALCS. But today, I'm making up for last Friday's canceled episode with our biggest Picks and Previews show yet! In college football, I'm calling for Nebraska to upset defending national champion Indiana in Lincoln, USC to walk into Penn State's Whiteout and WIN, and Alabama to take down Georgia in Tuscaloosa. Plus, Red River, Texas A&M–Missouri, UCLA–Oregon, and LSU–Kentucky. Then we turn to the NFL, where I'm making some BOLD predictions. Seven college games. Thirteen Sunday NFL games. Winners and spreads. And after everything we've seen this season? I have no idea how I'll do... New episodes Monday through Friday.
