Not every thought in your head deserves your voice. “Borrow My Voice” is an original Christian song inspired by Ephesians 6:11 and the Armor of God. Fear can sound reasonable. Anger can feel justified. Pride can convince us that somebody else is the enemy. And sometimes a lie gets repeated so many times that we eventually start saying it ourselves. That’s the idea behind this song: Don’t let the lie borrow my voice. Don’t let fear make my choice. Ephesians 6:11 says: “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” The rest of Ephesians 6 points us toward truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer. The armor of God isn’t about becoming harder, louder, or looking for a fight. It’s about knowing what is true. Knowing where you stand. And recognizing the fight before you let it change who you are. If this song hits somewhere personal for you, I hope you’ll take a few minutes afterward and read Ephesians 6:10–18 for yourself.
