A Villains Takeover Party” debuted during Disney Halloween Time 2025 as part of Hong Kong Disneyland’s 20th Anniversary Celebration, “The Most Magical Party of All.” The original premise centred on Maleficent’s outrage at being left off the guest list—hence “Uninvited!”—as she transformed the anniversary festivities into her very own “Most Villainous Party of All.” The production combines parade-style movement, a “street party” show-stop. It reuses the central float from the “We Love Mickey!” Main Street Projection Show, now dressed with mesh, thorns and vine-like details that conceal the Mickey-shaped railings. Most villains command their own themed table, while Hades and Oogie Boogie occupy opposite ends of the performance area without a mini-float. In 2025, the villain groups entered from opposite ends of Main Street, U.S.A. and met for the central show stop before departing the same way they had arrived. This meant guests watching from a single position could not see every float along the route. For 2026, the story has been reframed around the Three Good Fairies sensing Maleficent’s arrival after she is left out of another celebration. The staging is largely retained, but the route has expanded: the full convoy travels along Main Street, U.S.A., circles the Castle Hub and returns, giving guests more opportunities to see every float. This version also adds “The Uninvited” as a travel-loop song—not to be confused with “Uninvited,” the original opening number. “Uninvited” and “Party Like a Villain” have both been shortened from their 2025 versions. Jafar has also changed from a sculpted-head character to a face character. Among fans, reactions to the 2026 changes have been mixed. Some appreciate the expanded route and improved float visibility, while others feel the new travel-loop music does not match the original show as closely and that the shortened original songs lose some of their impact. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Official Hong Kong Disneyland description “Party dark, powerful, and magnificent like Maleficent as she leads fellow Disney Villains in ‘Uninvited!
