❤️🎶 THE FEELINGS WE DON’T DARE SHOW 🎶❤️ Some of the deepest emotions are the ones we never find the courage to express. Have you ever felt a connection with someone that was difficult to explain? A look that seemed to linger a little longer. A moment of tenderness. An unexpected closeness. And then, just as suddenly, distance and silence. My original song, “The Feelings We Don’t Dare Show,” explores the complicated emotions that can arise when two people experience a connection, but circumstances, uncertainty, fear, or timing may prevent that connection from becoming something more. Sometimes we meet someone who touches our heart in a way we never expected. But life isn’t always simple. There may be responsibilities, personal struggles, existing commitments, emotional barriers, or fears that make pursuing a relationship difficult. And sometimes we are left wondering whether the feelings were mutual or whether we simply hoped they were. That’s one of the hardest parts of an unspoken connection—not knowing what was truly in the other person’s heart. We may try to understand the silence, the mixed signals, the moments of affection followed by distance. But the truth is, we cannot always know what someone else is feeling. And even when feelings are genuine, that doesn’t necessarily mean someone is ready, willing, or able to build a relationship. ❤️ This song is about that emotional crossroads. I believe we can care deeply about someone, appreciate the beautiful moments we shared, and still recognize when it’s time to continue moving forward. We don’t have to deny our feelings to honor our own happiness. Sometimes the most courageous thing we can do is leave the door open to life’s possibilities without standing in the doorway waiting. I wanted this song to have a romantic, soulful, slightly mysterious sound, with emotional vocals and a haunting saxophone that seems to express the words the heart cannot say.
