At WWDC 2026 Apple formally deprecated SiriKit — the framework that has handled voice on this platform since 2016 — and App Intents is now the only way Siri can reach inside your app. Not the preferred way. The only way. Here's what that actually costs you. Without App Intents, Siri can still open your app by name, and that is all. It can't run an action, it can't answer a question about your content, and it can't offer your features when someone asks for the thing your app exists to do.
