They Tried to Starve Her Out—Then a Drifter Helped Her Save the Wild West Town That Hated Her

They tried to starve her out, destroy her farm, and turn the entire town against her. But Clara Vance refused to surrender. When powerful cattleman Leland Thorne uses money, fear, and influence to isolate Clara from the people of Oakhaven, her future begins to collapse. With winter approaching and her farm barely surviving, she has almost no one left to trust. Then Silas Cole, a hardened drifter carrying a troubled past of his own, unexpectedly stands beside her. Together, Clara and Silas repair broken fences, restore the irrigation ditch, bring life back to the land, and slowly build something stronger than either of them expected. But as their farm begins to thrive, Thorne tightens his grip on the town and turns desperation into anger. When winter hunger finally drives the people of Oakhaven to Clara’s gate, she faces the ultimate choice: take revenge on the people who abandoned her—or save them.
