An Evening Slow Living Kitchen Session: Cooking, Labeling Spices & Fresh Flowers 🌿

Come along with me for a slow, simple evening at home, from about 5 to 8pm. I started by harvesting some sukuma wiki straight from my kitchen balcony, washed it, and cooked it up with ugali for a comforting, homegrown meal. After dinner, I tackled a small task that had been sitting on my list for a while — labelling my spice bottles. They've had spices in them for a bit, just no labels, so I finally sat down and got them all organised. To close out the evening, I gave my kitchen vase a little refresh. I removed the old, dead flowers, washed the vase thoroughly, trimmed the stems on a fresh bunch of flowers, and set them back in the vase with water and a dash of hydrogen peroxide to help them stay fresh longer. Simple tasks, but they made the whole kitchen feel more cared for.
