Update on Special Education Services for 2026-2027

HISD is strengthening special education services for the 2026-2027 school year while keeping all IEP supports in place. Most students will see no changes, and families of students with updates to review will receive clear communication, personalized outreach, and full partnership through the ARD/IEP process. The District's focus remains on providing high-quality instruction, smaller and better‑supported classrooms, and learning environments that meet each child’s needs.
