Tournament HEMA Fencer: Full Set of HEMA Gear for Competition (Mobility Focused)

A few commenters have remarked that the gear I use is unusually low profile and have asked me to go through what I'm using. In this video I go through all the equipment I use, and the modification I have made to it to improve safety and mobility, and compare it to other equipment that I have tried in the past. At time of writing I am top 100 in 3 weapons (Longsword, Rapier & Dagger, Sabre). Apart from gloves for Rapier & Dagger, I have used essentially the same set of equipment for the last ~2 years for all of these weapons at tournaments up to and including Albion Cup Longsword A. Prior to that I had different gloves and jacket, but the other gear was the same - including for events like Dutch Lions Cup, Swordfish, and the European Games. This gear has served me well in all of those events. In general, I have made some trade offs to lower protection to increase mobility, but by moving a lot of the protective layers to underneath the jacket I am still very protected in key areas while remaining mobile. While some of my equipment is no longer available, hopefully this will help fencers find their own set of gear.
