Maharashtra Government has launched the “Self-Sufficient Maharashtra Residential Rooftop (SMART) Solar Scheme” to promote clean and affordable electricity for the poor and economically weaker sections. Under this initiative, eligible households using less than 100 units of electricity can install rooftop solar systems with massive government subsidies — reducing their power bills to almost zero!
