Welcome to The Living Word Studio — a quiet place to slow down and spend time in God’s Word. In Genesis 11–12, we move from the Tower of Babel to the call of Abram. In Genesis 11, the people come together with one language and one purpose: “Let us make us a name.” But God confounds their language and scatters them across the earth. Then Genesis 12 turns our attention to Abram. God calls him to leave his country, his kindred, and his father’s house and go to a land that He will show him. Along with that call comes an extraordinary promise — God will make of Abram a great nation, bless him, make his name great, and through him bring blessing to the families of the earth. Bible Study Nugget: What is the difference between making a name for ourselves and allowing God to make our name great? As you listen, notice the contrast between Babel and Abram: human ambition building upward for its own glory, and faith walking forward because God has spoken. Read along with us in the King James Version (KJV), then stay for a short reflection as we consider what these chapters reveal about obedience, trust, purpose, and the promises of God. 📖 Today’s Reading: Genesis Chapters 11 & 12 🌿 Passage: Babel & The Call of Abram 🙏 Opening Prayer 📖 Scripture Reading 💭 Reflection & Bible Study Nugget The Living Word Studio is a quiet place to meet with God in His Word.
