Ararat - Halt Mich Fest - 1991

Ararat was a German Christian rock and pop band formed in 1979 in Bad Urach, Germany. Combining melodic rock, pop, expressive vocals, and thoughtful German-language lyrics, the band developed a distinctive sound rooted in faith, personal reflection, and everyday life. Their 1991 album Volxmusik, featuring the opening track "Halt Mich Fest" ("Hold Me Tight"), marked an important step in their musical career and helped introduce the group to a wider German audience. Throughout the 1990s, Ararat continued to establish their presence in the German Christian music scene with albums such as Himmelwärts (1993), Weites Land (1997), and Dir Entgegen (1999). Despite the tragic loss of singer and guitarist Christian Stäbler in 1994, the band continued its journey, eventually performing until 2011. With their melodic arrangements, heartfelt lyrics, and distinctive German identity, Ararat remain an interesting part of European Christian rock history. Taken from the album Volxmusik (1991).
